In the event of an emergency or alarm, it is essential that action is started immediately. Many carriers already have contracts with private alarm receiving centers that will take immediate action in the event of an alarm. This principle is of great importance and can in most cases contribute to an efficient follow-up in their country. ETSA24 has been set up for the alarm follow-up notifications which are not only generated in the country of origin but also for alarms outside the country. When an alarm from the vehicle is generated or when a driver alert occurs, the private alarm receiving center in the own country will be informed, which then immediately will determine the location of the vehicle. If necessary, the driver will be contacted after which one of the partners within the network will be contacted for further necessary action.
The uniqueness of the ETSA24 concept is that communication between the various private alarm receiving centers directly takes place by operators and that the line remains open during an incident for further instructions and follow-up actions. All partners within ETSA24 have a specific telephone number made available to participants in the ETSA24.
